Sunday School will have walking trips to Father Angelos Saad Community Park on July 14th, July 28th and Aug 11th.
All Sunday School children must have a signed permission form to participate. Children under 4 and children without signed permission from parents/guardians must be accompanied by an adult to join.
Please bring sun hats, sunscreen, water, a change of clothes and a towel for the walking trips. We may play at the splash pad if the weather is warm.
If your child does not attend our Sunday School on a regular basis, please bring him/her to the Sunday School room in person and check in with the teacher before dropping him/her off.

Canon Edmund at age 88 is still enthusiastically and tirelessly serving the Lord and His people with his wife, Margaret, who has supported him throughout the years. St. John’s Anglican Church has invited them to share their experiences in living healthy and active lives. All are welcome and invited to attend.

Cantonese Faith Formation – Advent Book Study
This year Cantonese Faith Formation ministry has chosen to read the Chinese translated version of “The Dwelling of the Light: Praying with Icons of Christ” by Rowan Williams, Archbishop of Canterbury. Cantonese Advent Book Study will be held 4 consecutive Thursdays from Nov 28 to Dec 19 from 7pm-8:30pm through Zoom. Details will be communicated later. As books need time to be shipped from oversees, orders to purchase need to placed in advance. If you are interested, please place your order with Margaret Loo or email rsvp@stechurch.com by July 21. Cost of book including shipping will come to approximately $15CAD each.
Cantonese Tuesday Evening Prayer Meeting – Summer Break
Please be informed that the Cantonese Prayer group will take a summer break in July and August. We will resume meeting on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday starting in September. Our next prayer meeting will be on Tuesday, September 3 at 8pm to 8:45pm.
Welcome Our New Lay Pastoral Associate
We are excited to introduce Angela Kwong who will be our new Lay Pastoral Associate. This is a 1 year contracted part-time position which began on July 1. Angela holds a master's degree in music and has over 10 years' experience in church music ministries. She will be a great support in the development of the new senior and children music groups.
