  3. Next meetings for Cantonese Bible Study Group and Cantonese Prayer Group 

    • We are taking a break for Christmas for the Cantonese Bible Study Group and the Cantonese Prayer Group.

    • The next meeting for the Cantonese Bible Study Group will be at 7 pm on Thursday Jan 11, 2024 (the second Thursday in January 2024).

    • The next meeting for the Cantonese Prayer Group will be at 8 pm on Tuesday Jan 16, 2024 (the third Tuesday in January 2024).

  4. Plan for Baptisms in 2024

    • On Easter Day next year, we are arranging to have a holy baptism.

    • Those who have not been baptized but considering to be baptized, whether adults or children, please contact to Rev. Leung to let her know of your situation and considerations.

  5. Celebration of New Ministry for Rev. Siu Chun Leung at 4pm on Sun Jan 28, 2024 at St. E

    • We invite you to join us at St. E on Sun. Jan 28 at 4pm as we will hold the Celebration of New Ministry service for Rev. Leung.

    • Our archdeacon, The Ven. Steven Mackison will be coming to St. E as celebrant.

    • Rev. Canon Simon Li will be preaching at that service.

    • Rev. Canon Susan Climo, Regional Dean of our Mississauga Deanery will also be attending

  6. Cantonese Faith Formation Ministry Lent Devotional Activities

    • In the church calendar, the forty days before Easter (not including Sunday) are Lent. This year, the first day of Lent (Ash Wednesday) will be February 14. Lent is an important period for Christians to reflect on their lives, especially their relationship with God, with the purpose of preparing ourselves to remember the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus.

    • This year, the Faith Formation Ministry invites everyone to read the Chinese translated version of the book "Introducing the Christian Faith" by Michael Ramsey, who was the 100th Archbishop of Canterbury. This book discusses the Christian faith from simple to profound through eight chapters, leading everyone to reflect on faith, change their perspective, and thereby understand the power of God.

    • This year’s Cantonese Lent Devotional meetings will be held in via ZOOM and led by Rev. Leung. St. E Members are welcome to attend. Please contact Margaret Loo or email rsvp@stechurch.com. Our church will order books on your behalf and arrange to attend six relevant lectures and group discussions.
